Max Verstappen's hint about RB20 F1 car before Red Bull launch
Max Verstappen has leaked info about Red Bull's RB20 F1 car ahead of its launch.
Max Verstappen says the new RB20 F1 car will “look exactly the same” as last year’s Red Bull.
Red Bull have scheduled the presentation of their 2024 F1 challenger for February 15 at their headquarters in Milton Keynes.
So far there have been a mixture of launch approaches, with some teams unveiling liveries and digital renders, and others opting to showcase their actual cars.
It is currently unknown whether Red Bull will reveal their actual RB20, or stick to showing their livery on a show car, as they have done for the last two seasons.
But three-time world champion Verstappen has shared some early details about the car ahead of its unveiling, suggesting it will look the same as its predecessor.
Verstappen was asked about Red Bull’s new car during a stream with his Team Redline simracing teammates, to which he replied: “Yeah, it’s going to look exactly the same”.
When it was put to him that “everyone else who has already released their cars doesn’t have any paint on their cars,” the Dutchman reiterated: “I’m telling you, it’s going to look exactly the same.”
Red Bull will be hoping the RB20 performs the same as the dominant RB19, which won 21 of the 22 races last year.
Verstappen claimed a record-breaking 19 victories on his way to being crowned world champion for the third successive season, while Red Bull successfully defended their constructors’ title.
