New timeline could see Christian Horner investigation resolved quickly
Christian Horner investigation could come to a conclusion quicker than initially expected
The investigation into Christian Horner could reportedly be resolved in the coming week.
The Red Bull boss could learn his fate “as early as next week”, The Times report.
“There is now a desire to accelerate the process in an effort to end the disruption as well as the uncertainty,” the report states.
The lack of clear support from Red Bull’s star driver Max Verstappen is “now being viewed by some as increasingly significant”, it continues.
Horner has denied the allegations against him from a female colleague.
He was in attendance at the launch of the RB20 - Red Bull’s F1 2024 car - in Milton Keynes on Thursday.
Horner confirmed he would “absolutely” still be in his job for the first round of the championship, the F1 Bahrain Grand Prix, from February 29.
But the investigation by an independent lawyer, at that point, was expected to rumble on without following the F1 schedule.
Now, this latest report in British newspaper The Times means that Red Bull could make a decision within days.
F1 testing begins in Bahrain on Wednesday.
Last Thursday at the car launch, Horner said: "Inevitably there has been a distraction but the team are very together.
"Everybody is focused on the season ahead, so it's been very much business as normal. The support has been fantastic.”
