Odds lengthen for Schumacher victory in F1 2010

Sports betting provider Interwetten has lengthened the odds on the chances of record-breaking multiple world champion Michael Schumacher winning a race in F1 2010, off the back of another under-par performance from the German legend in the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai...

In light of another poor result in the recent Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai last weekend, Interwetten has changed the odds of the 'Schumacher Special Bet' - with the chances of a grand prix victory for the seven-time F1 World Champion in 2010 now regarded as even more unlikely.

Michael Schumacher's status is falling from race-to-race off the back of a string of mediocre performances thus far this season. Even the bookmakers at sports betting provider Interwetten do not see the German legend triumphing in 2010, and as a result have adapted their odds on the 'Schumacher Special Bet'.

Whilst the odds on the 41-year-old ending the campaign without so much as a single win to his name before the latest grand prix saw customers with a chance of doubling their stake, they now lie at 1.85.

"Although Mercedes expect to turn the corner following modifications to the car ahead of Barcelona, Schumacher's current form is clearly dropping," remarked the bookmaker department at Interwetten. "Accordingly, we have now altered the odds."
