Williams on look out for new title sponsor
The Williams F1 team has confirmed that it will have a new title sponsor for F1 2012, after the deal with AT&T expired.
The US telecommunications giant has been the title sponsor since 2007. It is believed the agreement was worth around ?4.5 million per year. All AT&T branding has now been removed from the official Williams team website.
"We have reached the conclusion of our partnership, the contract expired on December 31 by mutual agreement," a Williams F1 team spokeswoman told Reuters.
Williams have yet to confirm a new backer, although a team source did add that they are in 'advanced negotiations' with another telecommunications company for the title sponsorship.
The Grove-based squad, which endured a dire 2011, has still to confirm who will partner Pastor Maldonado.
Rubens Barrichello, Adrian Sutil and Bruno Senna have all been mooted as possibilities in recent weeks.
