Do you fancy going for a 'Hypersonic' lap of Silverstone?

Silverstone launched 'The Hypersonic' passenger experience this week, offering members of the public the chance to experience a lap of the British Grand Prix circuit in a custom-built two-seater race car.

The car, a 3.7 litre V6 Ford Cyclone Hypersonic, is capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in just three seconds and has a top speed of 150mph. Furthermore, participants don't need to have passed their driving test to experience this 'ultimate adrenaline rush', as they will be taken for a lap by a professional driver.

"We are always looking for exciting new products and experiences that will appeal to a wide audience, so we are delighted to add The Hypersonic to our extensive collection of driving and riding related Thrills and Experiences," said Paul Craven-Jones, Head of Activities from the Silverstone Experience Centre. "This passenger ride is a truly unique experience.

"Open to all, it allows members of the public to experience Silverstone and the Grand Prix circuit in a way like never before."

'The Hypersonic' passenger experience is available in January for a special introductory price of ?50.
