Murray Walker set for Race Retro debut

Legendary motorsports commentator Murray Walker will be heading to Stoneleigh in February, for his first appearance at the international historic motorsport show.

Murray Walker has been confirmed at a special guest for the tenth anniversary Race Retro, the international historic motorsport show that will be held next February at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.

It will be Walker's d?but at the show, and will give fans the opportunity to meet the legendary "voice of F1" in person. He will be celebrating 65 years working in and around motorsport in 2013, having made his first media broadcast at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb in 1948.

Attendees will be able to ask Murray all about his long career which includes 50 years commentating on F1, his favourite moments from the past and his thoughts on the drivers and teams for the forthcoming 2013 season, which will be starting soon after the Road Retro event on the weekend of February 22-24.

Walker will appear on the live interview stage at the show for Q&A sessions, as well as signing autographs and memorabilia for fans.

Walker's appearance is just one of a number of special guests planned for the occasion, and there will also be a wide variety of racing and rallying cars, high octane live action demonstrations and rare motorcycles. There will even be chance for fans for those attending to get behind the wheel for a drive in a fully prepared rally car

Tickets for the event cost ?20 in advance, with children's tickets at ?5 for Friday and Saturday (9.30am-5.40pm) and free for Sunday (9.30am-4.30pm). More information and online booking is available from RaceRetro.com.
