Not averse to dabbling in 'alternate' liveries for his crash helmet, Fernando Alonso will introduce another to his collection at this weekend's Indian Grand Prix.

Having notched up an new all-time F1 point-scoring record with his fourth-place finish in Japan ten days ago - something the Spaniard admitted was a little tenuous given the recent revisions to the scoring system - Alonso has decided to mark the achievement with a one-off design reflecting his latest tally.

The two-time world champion gave his Twitter followers the first glimpse of the livery that will adorn his lid at the Buddh International Circuit, with the number '1571' front and centre, accompanied by the words 'F1 points world record'. There is also a thank-you to his fans in three languages - English, French and Italian - on what is a predominantly white background.

Naturally, with the 2013 world championship still technically unresolved, Alonso and Ferrari will be hoping that the total jumps to 1596 by the end of the weekend in Greater Noida, although even a victory on Sunday will not be enough should Sebastian Vettel come home somewhere in the top five...
