As part of its 'Join the Pact' campaign to reduce drink driving, McLaren sponsor Johnnie Walker has released a new short film featuring an F1 car with a difference.

The film shows a McLaren car created out of 1,750 glasses, the fragile nature of which is used to symbolise the need to 'make the right choices and stay in control'.

The aim of the campaign is to gather an additional million pledges never to drink and drive by inviting consumers around the world to use the hashtag #ImNOTdriving on social media.

"The Glass Car is a compelling reminder of the importance of staying in control, not only on the race track but on public roads as well," McLaren driver Jenson Button said of the campaign. "Everyone who gets behind the wheel has to do so fully aware of the impact losing control could have - be it losing a race or losing something else far more important."

Set in a computer reproduction of the McLaren Technology Centre - accurate to just 3mm - the film features a CGI model of a Vodafone McLaren Mercedes F1 car and a breathtaking crash scene at 300 frames per second that took over a week to render and produced over 100 gigabytes of data in itself.
