Massa laughs off Arrivabene pit lane incident

Felipe Massa has laughed off a potentially 'dangerous' pit lane incident between himself and Ferrari's Maurizio Arrivabene during first free practice for the Austrian Grand Prix.

Arrivabene walked directly into the path of Massa just as he was striding towards the Ferrari pit box, prompting Massa to jump on the brakes as the Ferrari team principal took a swift step backwards.

Fortunately the quick reflexes of both Arrivabene and Massa avoided a potentially nasty accident, with the pair coming together afterwards to laugh it off.

"I think it was dangerous first of all for him," said Massa. "But then I braked and afterwards it was funny. "[Afterwards] I said it's good that it's me because maybe if it was another driver he would be hurt!"

Coming after a close encounter with a beaver during the Canadian Grand Prix, Massa went on to make light of the incident on his Instagram account too...
