Manor F1 team assets get auction deadline

Manor's assets including show cars, model wind tunnel, garage and hospitality units will go under a four-day online auction next month.

The Manor F1 team's assets including show cars, model wind tunnel, garage and hospitality units will go under a four-day online auction next month with a total of over 4000 lots available.

After Manor's parent company Just Racing Services Limited fell into administration in January, with the team's F1 exit being confirmed when they were omitted from the official team entry list for 2017, joint administrators have begun the winding up process with all of its assets being sold.

Online auctioneers Gordon Brothers have published the full list of assets up for auction, including Manor's complete race track equipment including plus four Manor Racing Formula 1 Rolling Chassis Show Cars.

Auctioneers have organised a two-day viewing period, 9-10 May, at Manor's former base in Banbury which is also adjacent to Haas F1's current base in Oxfordshire, before the online auction goes live and closes at 14:00 BST on Tuesday 16th May. Final clearance of all assets will be completed by the 30th May.

Neal Weeks, director at Gordon Brothers, has outlined what will be available to bid on with the auction set to go live in mid-May.

"This sale will appeal to anyone with an interest in motorsport," Weekes said. "Subject to availability, we will have Formula 1 rolling chassis', a large quantity of pit lane equipment, two wind tunnel models and a plethora of car body parts and components including tubs, front and rear wings, engine covers and side pods, together with steering wheels and wheel rims.

"In addition, there is a significant selection of race and team branded clothing. The largest items in the sale are two 'pop-up' road trailers the team used as their operations centre at every Grand Prix."

Reports emerged in February that a potential rescue deal was tabled by former driver and race promoter Tavo Hellmund but negotiations failed to materialise on a package.
