Villeneuve Concussed In Ski Accident.

The 1997 FIA Formula One World Champion Jacques Villeneuve was flown to hospital from the Praloup resort in France after sustaining concussion in a ski accident just prior to the New Year.


He was detained for several hours as he was still feeling the effects of the accident.

A hospital spokesman revealed. (He was slightly concussed and required several hours of rest.)
The 26 year old Williams driver was released from hospital after checks and returned to Switzerland to spend New Year's Eve with friends.

Formula One drivers in the past have been known to have certain clauses in their contracts forbidding them to take part in any dangerous sports which may affect their chances of competing for their respective teams.

It is still unclear whether the Williams team will impose any restrictions on Villeneuve's love of Skiing, it was while Jacques was at his Swiss boarding school that he met Craig Pollock, then his Ski instructor now his manager and the Managing Director of the newly formed BAR Tyrrell Team.
