Benetton's First Test On Bridgestone.

The Mild Seven Benetton Formula One team were also present at Barcelona with Alex Wurz and Giancarlo Fisichella.
The pair were testing the new Benetton B198 for the first time on Bridgestone rubber and were noticeably off the pace in comparison to the Williams and other teams. The Benetton got down to a 1.25sec which at this stage is understandable since they have never before tested on Bridgestone's and the car was designed around Goodyear tyres, it was indeed an 11th hour switch literally hours before last week's launch in London that the team concluded the deal with Bridgestone.
