Mansell Banned For Six Months.
The 1992 FIA Formula One World Champion, Nigel Mansell has today (22/1/98) been banned from driving on the road for a total of six months due to a speeding offence.
Mansell, 44, was returning from London to his country estate in Devon in his ?230,000 Bentley Continental T when he was caught speeding at 92mph.
The magistrates heard Mansell, a Devon & Cornwall Special Constable, had already accumulated nine penalty points on his licence for other speeding offences.

Together with his latest indiscretion the tally totalled 12 points which is the limit at which in the UK a driver is banned from driving for a period to be determined by the court.
