Barnard To Stay At Arrows.

Arrows designer John Barnard is staying with the beleaguered Leafield team,
despite rumours that he is about to leave for Prost.


Arrows' problematic start to the season, primarily caused by the innovative
carbon-fibre gearbox it introduced in Australia, are apparently at the root
of a rift between Barnard and team owner Tom Walkinshaw.


Both parties have denied that they have fallen out, with Barnard saying
that he would be unwilling to repeat his Ferrari years, either by moving to
France or handling Prost's design needs from his company premises in
Guildford.
