Although the issue of team orders has apparently not been discussed within the McLaren motorhome, Coulthard is resigned to the fact that he could be asked to move aside for team-mate Mika Hakkinen. (I don't think it would be strange if the team asked me,) Coulthard revealed before qualifying, (and I don't think it would be unfair, given the position that Mika is in the championship. They [McLaren] want a one-two, and I imagine that the perfect one-two would be Mika then myself.)
(Clearly, I have got personal desires of winning races and winning championships,) he added, (but that is not going to happen this year unless something very unfortunate happens to Mika in the next few races. It's not something I would wish for.)
