Benetton revealed its new wind tunnel to the world yesterday [Tuesday], as it launched the facility it hopes will move it closer to the front of the grid.
The Enstone team claims that the new tunnel will bring its aerodynamic capability up to the level of the best in Formula One, producing wind speeds equal to 150mph, and capable of simulating bursts reaching 300mph. The facility cost ?12million to construct, but designer Nick Wirth believes that expenditure will be worth it.
