Malik has expressed a desire to use his position with Arrows to promote motorsport among non-white countries, and promote non-white drivers to the pinnacle of the sport. One of the prince's ideas is to build a network of kart circuits through which to introduce the sport to the public with, at the other end of the scale, mixed-race Watt receiving his F1 break to highlight the ultimate aim of the scheme.
"If this is the way for me to get my butt in an F1 car, then I'm all for it," was the reaction of the Super Nova F3000 star.
