Stewart Would Consider Ford Sale.

Paul Stewart has admitted that the family team would consider selling out to Ford, if its future depended on it.


Stewart, who, along with father Jackie, has always denied that the team would be open to offers from potential buyers, this week revealed that a deal with Ford may not be out of the question. Speaking to Autosport magazine, Stewart admitted that selling to a major manufacturer might be the team's best option in the long run>

Speaking to Autosport magazine, Stewart admitted that selling to a major manufacturer might be the team's best option in the long run>

"It is something that could happen eventually," the former F3000 racer said, "With the way F1 is going at the moment [with major manufacturers becoming increasingly involved], no-one will survive in the longer term as a privateer. If the right scenario came along - and if we thought it was the right solution for the team - then why not?"
