Barrichello Disqualified.
Rubens Barrichello was removed from the results of the Spanish Grand Prix after race stewards found irregularities during the Stewart's technical inspection.
The officials determined that the fastener used to hold the skid plate (or 'plank') underneath the car in place was too large to conform to article 3.13(h) of the regulations. According to the statement which accompanied Barrichello's exclusion, the item was deemed dangerous in the event of an accident because of its size and weight.

Although the disqualification has no direct baring on the points situation, it allows Mika Salo, Giancarlo Fisichella, Alex Wurz, Pedro de la Rosa and Tora Takagi to move one place up the order.
