Jordan Jokes Over Irvine Situation.
Eddie Jordan poked fun at the rumours linking him to former driver Eddie Irvine for next season, claiming that the pair had discussed everything but a seat for 2000.
"We have talked about boats, we have talked about planes," Jordan claimed at a joint press conference called by the two parties, "In fact we have talked about everything Eddie will talk about, but not about the one thing he won't - and the one I refuse to talk publicly about - and that is money."

It has been suggested that Jordan has signed his Irish compatriot to replace Damon Hill for next season, but the conference revealed little. Referring to his past dealings with the Prancing Horse, Jordan announced that perhaps signing Irvine would be a good thing financially, as it would allow him to sell the Irishman's contract to Maranello for a second time.
"I have to tell you, I am missing the income from Ferrari," Jordan added, "It has dried up recently, and I am struggling."
