The Malaysian Grand Prix opens the new-look schedule, which runs from an earlier-than-usual 20 February to 8 October. The season ends, as usual, in Japan but, in between, features a number of date changes for prominent events.
Among the biggest movers are the Monaco GP, which exchanges a traditional May slot for one on 4 June, and the European race, which makes way for the newly instigated USGP in September by taking a date in late May. The European GP is also poised to return to its original title after a two-year spell under the auspices of Luxembourg. The French GP also moves forward from the end of June to early May.
