Bernie Has Bypass.

Bernie Ecclestone is recovering at home, following an operation to bypass a coronary artery.


The FIA vice-president was persuaded to have the surgery by both his wife, Slavica, and the F1 doctor, professor Sid Watkins. The operation was carried out by consultant cardiac surgeon John Wright at the London Chest Hospital, with Ecclestone recovering quickly enough to be discharged last night.
