Brundle To Give Drivers' Eye View.

Martin Brundle has linked up with the Jordan team to give television viewers the chance to sample Formula One from the cockpit.

Former racer turned ITV commentator, Brundle will present a series of features on the art of driving as part of British viewers' coverage of grands prix. Aided by three on-board cameras, an in-car radio and modern video technology, the former Jordan pilot will take viewers into the driving seat in a segment of the ITV programme entitled 'Martin Brundle's F1 Driving School.

"Many of our viewers dream about having a go in a Formula One car," said ITV director Dave Lewis, "and, thanks to the work of Martin and the ITV team with Jordan Grand Prix, the dream becomes virtual reality."

Brundle tested the latest Jordan 199 chassis at Silverstone last week, in order to familiarise himself with a modern race car, and film pieces for the new programme.

"It was such a pleasure to drive the very latest Formula One car," he said afterwards, "and I am sure the series will give our viewers an even better inside knowledge of a grand prix driver's life behind the wheel."
