Briatore To Sue Over Fraud Stories.

Former Benetton team boss Flavio Briatore is threatening to sue over allegations that he committed property fraud in Kenya.


The story, which appeared in the Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, suggested that the now Supertec owner had been arrested in the African country - where he has a house - and faced a possible five-year jail term. This, however, has been denied by both Briatore and the Italian ambassador in Kenya.

"Flavio Briatore has never been arrested in Kenya, and never been suspected of a crime of this kind," said Gideon Mung'aro, "He has always been - and remains - welcome in Kenya."


Briatore put the allegations down to jealousy over his lifestyle and relationship with model Naomi Campbell.
