Ron Dennis of McLaren said in a press conference after the appeal, (The price paid for that one race is too much, I am convinced it was a mistake on the part of Ferrari but we paid a far greater price than what is expected, it is hypocritical to say that no performance advantage was gained by them, during the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend they covered the barge boards with covers each time the car entered the pits. The competence of the FIA delegates have to be questioned and also the equipment used to measure these technical infringements, they are taken to each Grand Prix and set up using lasers which can more than accurately measure down to 1mm. Yes, I am disappointed, we can cope with it but can Formula One cope with it, the push these days has become commercial and I feel we are a victim of this).
