Irvine On His Bike.

Eddie Irvine today took delivery of a limited edition MV Agusta F4 motorcycle as reward for his efforts in last season's world championship.


The Irishman was presented with his ?25,000 gift by MV representative Giovanni Castiglioni, who visited today's Silverstone test session purely for the occasion. The motorcycle - an F4 Gold Series - is one of the most eagerly awaited of recent times and, having scooped several awards at October's Motorcycle News Awards, has in excess of 700 UK customers on its waiting list.


The presentation was the highlight of Irvine's day, however, as testing was ruled out by thick fog, which prevented any of the three teams present at Silverstone from taking to the track.
