Mugello Record Falls To Schumacher Again!
Michael Schumacher has again lowered the Mugello lap record after another highly successful day of testing in the new Ferrari F1-2000 on Sunday.
The elder Schumacher broke his own lap record, set last week, with a 1:24.705 compared to his previous mark of 1:24.850, only this time he did it in team-mate's Rubens Barrichello's car while his F1-2000 was being given a check-over.

The 1994 and '95 World Champion was at the Italian track from 9am until just after 6pm during which he ran for 71 laps, commenting afterwards, "The car behaved as I expected it to. I worked mainly on the set-up and the adjustments we found are sending us in the right direction."
Schumacher did experience a few problems with a strong wind blowing across the track but otherwise the car ran faultlessly. The German will be back at the track today (Monday) where the team will concentrate on a long distance run.
