DC battles Button-mania.
David Coulthard has hit back at the attention lavished on rookie Jenson Button, by calling on the British fans to back a winner this Sunday.
According to the national press over the weekend, the Scot is reported to be upset by the Formula One focus falling on 20-year old Button when he has a genuine chance of winning races and, possibly, the world title. He has called on the British public to forget the Williams newcomer, and get behind him at Silverstone this weekend, as he attempts to overcome Michael Schumacher's strong start to the year.

''A win here would put me right back in the championship battle,'' he pleaded, ''and I need all the support the crowd can give me.
''Jenson is young and he's interesting,'' he added, having a dig at Button's position as media darling, ''There are a lot of stories to be told that none of us know anything about. But I don't want to be sexy, I want to win races.''
Coulthard has never been in the position of nation's favourite, having had to deal with Damon Hill in his prime and, now, the arrival of Button. Even the relatively less successful Johnny Herbert has attracted more of a following than the McLaren man in recent years, leaving the Scot to wonder what he has to do to earn the respect he feels he deserves.
