More mileage for Manning.
Britain's Darren Manning has again impressed his BAR team with another mature performance at the recent Jerez test.
Carrying out development work on some new components, Manning gained yet more experience in a car which has improved greatly since he last drove the machine in February.
''It was absolutely fantastic, being on a proper circuit here at Jerez,'' enthused the driver. ''Having data to overlay with, and someone else to drive alongside, in this case it was Jacques [Villeneuve].''

Whilst not aiming for outright speed, Darren was still able to lap within 2.5 seconds of the pace setting Benetton of Alex Wurz on the final day of the test. His BAR team were pleased with the driver's efforts and Manning later admitted to having ''made some good progress.''
Manning's next taste of Formula One machinery will come at Monza in June, a totally different circuit from Jerez and another which should provide the enthusiastic Manning with a great challenge.
