Teleglobe ends BAR sponsorship.
Win some, lose some could be British American Racing's motto at the moment as, no sooner does it signs one new sponsor, than it loses an old one.
Teleglobe Inc. - one of the team's original backers from its debut season in Formula One - today announced that it has reached an agreement to end its sponsorship with BAR at the end of the current season. The move had been mooted several weeks ago, but had died down recently, coinciding with a string of good results for driver Jacques Villeneuve.

''While we can appreciate the value of Teleglobe's involvement with BAR Honda, out decision to withdraw was based on our evolving marketing and business objectives,'' stressed chief marketing officer Lisa Donnan.
Teleglobe followed British American Tobacco into the Brackley team, becoming its main secondary sponsor in January 1999.
''It is always sad to part with a sponsor, especially one that has been with us since the beginning, but we understand Teleglobe's decision,'' revealed BAR managing director Craig Pollock, ''They have been more than a sponsor to us, they were a valued partner.''
BAR last week announced a link up with internet provider World Online, whose logos appeared on the car in time for the German Grand Prix on Sunday. Villeneuve has also re-signed for another three seasons with the team, despite strong speculation that he may be headed for Benetton in 2001.
