Trulli turns out for Stormont spectacular.

Jordan driver Jarno Trulli has confirmed that he will drive the team's Mugen-powered 199 at the Belfast Motorsport Festival on Monday 28 August.

The Italian star will fly direct to the event after competing in the previous afternoon's Belgian Grand Prix, to drive the car that claimed victory at both the French and Italian Grands Prix in 1999. His appearance underlines the enthusiasm of the team for this motorsport spectacular, after it had already confirmed the attendance of one of its first 191 chassis for local hero John Watson to demonstrate.

Joining Trulli to provide full back-up support for the day in Stormont will be a group of Jordan race mechanics and Mugen-Honda engine technicians.

''I am really looking forward to coming to this event,'' Trulli said, ''I have heard a great deal about it, and I understand that it will be a really memorable day for motorsport enthusiasts throughout Ireland. I know that the Benson & Hedges Jordan team has an incredible following and, therefore, think it will be enormous fun to be able to drive one of our cars in Belfast.''

''We have known for some time now how special the Belfast Motorsport Festival is going to be,'' commented team boss and ambassador for Ireland Eddie Jordan, ''The entry list is outstanding, and we are delighted to commit to sending our first ever Formula One car - the Jordan 191 - and last year's race-winning car for John Watson to drive.

''I am also delighted that Benson & Hedges has now been able to secure Jarno for the day, as I think that this will make it an even more exciting event. He is an incredible driver who, this year, has already qualified at the front of the field in Monte Carlo, and run comfortably with the McLarens and Ferraris at several races. Having him demonstrate the Jordan-Mugen 199 at Stormont should give fans something very special to remember.''
