The BMW Williams team today announced a two-year extension of its sponsorship deal with Brazilian petroleum giant Petrobras, leading to suggestions that test driver Bruno Junqueira will continue in the role with the team.
The Formula 3000 championship favourite - with the series finale at Spa tomorrow - is actively seeking a drive with a race team for next season but if that does not come to pass, then his strong relationship with Williams and Petrobras should keep his job secure at the Grove outfit.
