No Green light for BAR.

Barry Green has denied that he intends to switch from CART to Formula One with British American Racing next season.

The ex-pat Australian was strongly tipped to replace Craig Pollock at the helm of the Brackley team, following success in the American Champcar series, but has since claimed that that was never his intention. Although sources at Team Green appeared to confirm that talks were talking place between Green and BAR, this has since been ruled out.

The ex-pat Australian was strongly tipped to replace Craig Pollock at the helm of the Brackley team, following success in the American Champcar series, but has since claimed that that was never his intention. Although sources at Team Green appeared to confirm that talks were talking place between Green and BAR, this has since been ruled out.

Both teams are funded by British American Tobacco, and the sponsors are thought to be upset at Pollock's overspending and fall-out with fellow director Adrian Reynard. Pollock was rumoured to be leaving the team when he went sick at Spa two weeks ago.
