BAR to be taken over?

British American Racing could be taken over by some of its senior management according to reports.

BBC news notes how incoming Barry Green, who is already set to replace Craig Pollock as managing director and two other bosses of the team are proposing to buy the team from owner BAT.

Soon to be ex-champ car team owner, Green is said to have joined forces with Pollock's co-managing director Adrian Reynard and Rick Gorne, BAR's development director in an attempt to take over the team and rid it of political in fighting.

Although nothing has been agreed one source said: "it could happen tomorrow, or be a long way down the road."

Tobacco giant BAT owns 85% of the team.

Other rumours of a Honda buy-out "are understood to be wide of the mark" said BBC Sport.
