Trulli completes marathon task.

As good as his word, Jarno Trulli duly completed the New York Marathon yesterday [Sunday].

The Italian, regarded as one of the fittest drivers in Formula One - and not averse to warming up for a grand prix by jogging a few laps of each circuit, recorded a time of just over four hours to complete the 26-mile course around the Big Apple, and finished 10,230th out of an estimated 30,000 runners.

The Italian, regarded as one of the fittest drivers in Formula One - and not averse to warming up for a grand prix by jogging a few laps of each circuit, recorded a time of just over four hours to complete the 26-mile course around the Big Apple, and finished 10,230th out of an estimated 30,000 runners.

Although he admitted that the F1 season had not exactly allowed him to conduct the ideal preparation for the race, Trulli acquitted himself well on the day, and expressed an interest in competing in further marathons when his commitments allowed.
