Montoya out to 'kick Ralf's ass'.

Williams BMW driver and F1 rookie Juan Pablo Montoya is looking to take no prisoners this season and beating team-mate Ralf Schumacher is his top priority.

1999 CART champion Montoya told The Sunday Times: "Let's be realistic and honest. As far as conversation has gone with Ralf, we've said hello. I don't have any problems with him, I have nothing against him, but I have nothing with him either. So long as we both give the right information, the team can work together."

"Kicking ass is the term, especially with your teammate. Being realistic the first person you have to beat is your teammate. I've heard from people that he has been raising his game lately. He's never pushed in testing before; people haven't seen him being pushed. It's good for the team so long as we keep it under our belts and don't go out there and do something stupid."

And of perhaps becoming the next Alex Zanardi or Michael Andretti? (Both who had successful CART experience behind them before coming to F1 and leaving with the tail between there legs): "Does it worry me? No. Why not? Because Alex, from day one was never on the pace. In testing I've already shown that I am on the pace, that I've been close to Ralf Schumacher's times, and sometimes faster."
