Arrows: "We've come a long way since last year".
In March 2000, at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne, Australia, the OrangeArrows racing colours were revealed to the world for the first time. Twelve months on, the team was back in Melbourne unveiling its 2001 livery.
Much happened in that year, and the team has come a long way following a good season and the arrival of a new engine and sponsors for 2001. Seventh place in the 2000 F1 world constructors' championship and a people's choice award for 'Most Improved Team' show that Arrows is very much on the up after several seasons in the doldrums.

During the past winter, the team has sought to make further significant improvement and investment including the signing of fresh talent in Brazilian Enrique Bernoldi; the addition of sound F1 experience with Johnny Herbert coming on board as development and test driver; a further 30 per cent increase in personnel - including the strengthening of the design team with the addition of Nicolo Petrucci as head of aerodynamics - and the purchase of the DERA wind tunnel in Bedford, widely regarded as being one of the most advanced facilities in Europe.
The team is pleased to continue with its existing sponsor portfolio and would also like to welcome producers of world-wide best-selling energy drink, Red Bull, and other new on-car partners, RG Tecq and Paul Costelloe. With both Orange and chello broadband remaining on board, the 2001 livery is thus a subtle evolution of the eye-catching orange and black colours that have made the cars distinctive and appealing to the eye.
"We had a good season in 2000, but we feel we can do better in 2001," commented team principal Tom Walkinshaw, "I hope the technical collaboration of Arrows, Asiatech and Bridgestone will deliver the results that OrangeArrows and all of our partners, both existing and new, undoubtedly deserve."
Despite changes in ownership and management, Arrows' title sponsors remains as committed as ever to its backing of the team, following a widely-publicised link-up last season.
"F1 is one of the most exciting sports in the world, relying on leading-edge technology and continuously pushing the boundaries of technological and engineering excellence," Denise Lewis, group director of corporate affairs at Orange added, "Orange, as one of the world's most advanced communications companies, have a similar focus on innovation, technical leadership and performance. Orange is now entering its second season in F1 and we are optimistic about the continuing strong performance of the OrangeArrows team. We were delighted at the end of the 2000 season, to be part of such a dynamic sport and ambitious team. We see this sponsorship as a partnership where both parties have knowledge and benefits to gain from working together"
