Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer put in the top time today in testing at Barcelona six tenths faster than the McLaren of Alexander Wurz.
Badoer though left it until late in the session and with only five minutes left relegated the McLaren team to there familiar position in 2001 - the best of the rest.
Johnny Herbert in the Arrows-AMT was third quickest, followed by Mark Webber for Benetton in fourth and last in fifth Williams' Marc Gene.

Benetton spent the day evaluating four different Michelin tyre constructions and identified one set as particularly promising. The remaining work was done on development of the electronic aids that come into place for the Spanish GP. Jenson Button will join Webber for the test tomorrow in the B201.
Gene completed the most laps of the day 89 while Ferrari put in the least just 41. BAR, Jordan, Jaguar and Prost are expected to join the test tomorrow.
