Final day of testing for Williams in Barcelona.

The BMW WilliamsF1 Team today concluded its last day of testing at the Circuit de Catalunya. Marc Gen? resumed testing alone, due to Ralf (Schumacher) feeling unwell.

Marc Gen? said: "Today we had a difficult day because in the morning I went off the track which kept the car in the garage for a few hours. This meant we missed some track time when the circuit was in best conditions and we couldn't achieve very good times. Once the car was fixed we did an engine endurance test. I did two long runs and finished this last long day of work with 22 more laps on the wet track, doing some tyre testing for Michelin."

Sam Michael (WilliamsF1 Chief Operations Engineer) added: "Today for the last day of testing at Barcelona, Marc was back in the FW23 doing some endurance running. He had a small accident in the morning, which caused some damage to the car but no harm to the driver. He continued with the test and finished the mileage on the FW23. At the end of the day, from 6pm to 7pm Marc did some wet tyre testing for Michelin with the FW22B. Overall we did some useful work over the last four days, mainly focusing on endurance, tyre testing and software development."

Dr Mario Theissen (BMW Motorsport Director) concluded: "We are pleased with our last day of testing. We didn't experience any problems on the engine side. Marc did a race simulation, which not only proved reliability but also provided to our engineers a lot of information. Again we used this last day of the test to develop our engine management system especially traction control, which will be in use starting from the Spanish Grand Prix."
