The BAR team kick off their preparations for the Monaco GP on Wednesday at the Valencia circuit for three days.
The team have elected to give Jacques Villeneuve some time off in order for him to recover from a back injury, which has been plaguing him since his accident in the opening race of the 2001 season. He has been driving with pain injections since he displaced a disc in his spine and has been for several X-rays and scans.

The team said over the Austrian GP weekend that they are impressed with the way he is handling his injury as he is really in agony, but refuses to miss any races, dealing with his injury quietly.
