Button kicks off test for Benetton.
The Benetton-Renault team started today their first of four days testing in Magny Cours, France with Jenson Button behind the wheel. The team is testing under very warm conditions alongside eight other Formula One teams.
Mike Gascoyne - Benetton's Technical Director - said: "We had a productive first day testing at the circuit Magny-Cours doing basic chassis balance work in preparation for the Grand Prix that will take place here on the 1st July."

"Jenson (Button) also carried out some brake development in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix and an assessment of the front tyre comparisons. All in all we got some good answers so we had a productive day testing. Tomorrow we will be concentrating on a Michelin tyre programme in preparation for the Magny-Cours race."
