Zonta worked on general chassis set-up in the morning and spent the afternoon running development aerodynamic parts. He was sixth quickest with a time of 1min 15.08secs after completing 77 laps, but was hampered by a string of niggling problems which cut short his pre-lunch running.
Despite this, the Jordan test team leaves Magny-Cours satisfied with the completion of a predominantly productive three-day programme.
Yesterday, the team sent Heinz-Harald Frentzen home from the test early, as he was feeling unwell with the effects of his accident at the Monaco Grand Prix. After the German returned home to Monaco and underwent medical tests, the team has reported that there is no sign of injury, although Frentzen has been advised to rest until the Canadian Grand Prix.
