Red Bull to buy into Arrows?

According to reports in the Sunday press Red Bull could dump Sauber-Petronas at the end of the year and take Morgan Grenfell's stake in the Orange-Arrows team.

Morgan Grenfell Private Equity are believed to be looking to sell their 70% stake in the Arrows team as they are unimpressed with the performance put in by Tom Walkinshaw's outfit.

According to reports in today's Sunday Times Red Bull want to acquire the stake because they are unhappy with Peter Sauber. At the start of the year Red Bull wanted Enrique Bernoldi to get the second seat alongside Nick Heidfeld but Sauber insisted that the drive was given to Finn Kimi Raikkonen. Bernoldi thus went to Arrows in deal which saw Red Bull back the Leafield based team as well as Sauber.

It is believed that if the deal does goes ahead Credit Suisse will take over the 62% stake Red Bull have in Sauber-Petronas. More news when we have it...
