Arrows in new blocking claim.

Just a handful of races after Enrique Bernoldi's run in with McLaren at Monaco, the young Brazilian finds himself at the centre of another blocking storm in France.

This time the complaints come from the opposite end of the grid, with European Minardi boss Paul Stoddart incensed at seeing his young star Fernando Alonso blocked as he set off on his fourth and final qualifying run at Magny-Cours.

Once again, as in Monaco, the blame is not being laid entirely at Bernoldi's feet, as Stoddart claims Arrows team members set the situation up.

"What would otherwise have been a reasonably good qualifying session for European Minardi was marred by an intentional blocking manoeuvre by Arrows and its driver, Enrique Bernoldi, which spoiled Fernando's last run," the ex-pat Aussie complained, "This was orchestrated by a member of the Arrows team, positioned in the pit-lane, who ensured Bernoldi's exit from his garage was timed to perfection. This unsporting behaviour undoubtedly lost Fernando what would have been his best run of the afternoon."

Bernoldi was caught up in a heated debate between those who believe he should have moved over for a recovering David Coulthard at Monaco, and those who think he was in the right to defend his place as the two diced for position. The young Brazilian, making his debut in F1 this season, was later confronted by members of the McLaren-Mercedes camp, including Ron Dennis.

Arrows has made no comment on the latest allegations.
