Celebrities flock to Silverstone.

An array of famous names and celebrities filled the paddock at the British GP on Sunday, and Silverstone received glowing tributes.

Actor Robson Green, television presenters Carol Vorderman, Trevor McDonald and Ant and Dec were among the faces in the paddock, as were sporting heroes Tim Henman and James Cracknell.

Australian cricketers Shane Wayne and Steve Waugh visited Benetton and British American Racing, while Sarah Ferguson - 'Fergie' - and Kylie Minogue added to the celebrity list.

Robson Green, who is famed for his role in Solider, Solider, said: "I've been a fan of Formula One since I was about three. It is a great psychological battle of minds and that's what makes it interesting."

Green flew into the circuit by helicopter with Trevor McDonald and Ant and Dec as special guests of ITV.

Tennis ace Henman revealed that this year's race was the first time he has visited Silverstone and he was in awe of the complexity of the sport.

Henman said: "This is the first race I've been to. I've been close to the action in Monaco before but it's good to be in Britain. It's such a big operation - the size of it. I've been in the pits and the number of people is amazing."
