Frentzen tries out the Prost AP04.
Three times Grand Prix winner Heinz-Harald Frentzen yesterday got his first taste of the Prost-Acer AP04 when he completed 50km's at Magny-Cours.
The German who was sacked by Jordan Grand Prix just days before his home race told his website before the shakedown: "On Friday, I will get my first impression of the AP04 during the 50-kilometre shakedown test. This limit has been imposed by the FIA (to stop testing in between the German and Hungarian Grand's Prix to give F1 personnel a holiday)."

Frentzen who also practiced some starts using the unfamiliar Prost lunch control system added that while he will be well up for the Budapest race it will take time to get use to his new surroundings. Jean Alesi meanwhile will do his 50km shakedown test with Jordan on Monday at Silverstone.
