The European-Minardi team have said that they will announce their engines for next year within the next couple of weeks.
The team has always had trouble finding competitive engines, and currently use two-year-old former Ford engines, which are way down on the engines used by their competititors.
However, team owner Paul Stoddart says that he is enjoying having a choice. One of the options is thought to be Asiatech, who won't be supplying Arrows next year while the other may be one-year old Ferrari engines should Prost Grand Prix decide they cannot afford to pay for them for a second year.
"We've obviously got options and the next two weeks before Spa will see those options all exhausted and we will have made a decision," said Stoddart. "It's very encouraging. It's nice to have choice."
