Go, Go, Go.... Walker voices Orange race news.

Despite retiring from the commentary box last season, veteran Formula One broadcaster Murray Walker will still be heard talking about the sport on a regular basis.

'Muddly Talker', as he is known to both fans and critics alike, has tied up a deal with Arrows' sponsor Orange to launch a new multimedia service - the Murray Walker race review. which will be available through Orange's 177 voice media platform.

The race review will be available following each of the 17 grands prix race weekends, and will launch after the first race in Australia on Sunday 3 March. Walker, one of the world's most recognised and respected voices of Formula One, will record a unique review of each race, capturing the essence of high octane motor sport.

The service is available to all Formula One fans, even those who are not on the Orange network. Orange customers simply dial 177 from their Orange handset, all other network users can access the service by dialling 07973 100 177 from any phone (mobile or fixed line) and following the prompts.

"Murray's knowledge of Formula One, coupled with his unique and much loved style, will make the Orange race reviews both informative and entertaining for fans everywhere," commented Miles Pearce, Orange Sports' multimedia manager, "Orange is pleased to provide this unique service to F1 fans, enabling them to add to their enjoyment of grand prix races."

The Murray Walker race review will be part of a wider range of dedicated Grand Prix Orange multimedia services available to customers in 2002.

Orange Text Media will give Formula One fans quick and easy access to grand prix news, results and in-race updates, along with more tailored information available on each of this season's Formula One teams, sent as a text message direct to their Orange handset.

By dialling 277 and following the simple voice prompts, Orange customers can set up and access the Orange Text Media service where they can decide their choice of updates. Calls to 277 are free and text message updates cost 12p per message.

"We are in our third year as a title-sponsor in Formula One and we are delighted to announce the Murray Walker race review service," said Peter Raymond, group head of sponsorship at Orange, "This new service will allow our Formula One involvement to reach as many people as possible, not just those watching on television or lucky enough to attend the events themselves."
