Prize winner experiences Renault F1 test.

Ferhat Ferhangil collected the prize he won at the Chivas 200 Online Charity Auction last September by taking part in a test session with the Renault F1 team on Monday.

The programme began at 1000hrs with test team manager Carlos Nunes briefing Ferhat and his friend Arben Icli on the activities scheduled for the day. It then continued with a visit to the garage, the pitwall and different viewing positions around the English racetrack. During lunch, lead driver Jarno Trulli entertained the team's special guests with anecdotes and his perspective on the life of a racing driver.

The day ended on a highlight with an unscheduled visit to the Renault F1 team's headquarters in Enstone - which, if nothing else, provided an interesting way to escape from Silverstone's bitter winds!

"It's been an exciting day," Ferhangil said, enjoying a change in lifestyle from his usual job in the steel industry in the City of London, "I often attend Formula One events, but money cannot buy such a close insight into the life of a team. The tour was very informative and in a warm and friendly atmosphere. We were thrilled to be able to help someone while getting so close to my favourite sport."
