A bizarre Australian Grand Prix took another twist inside 25 laps when both OrangeArrows entries received black flags.
Having both failed to get away on the warm-up lap, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Enrique Bernoldi avoided the first corner carnage, but were destined to end their races with healthy cars before half distance.
After lengthy consultation, the stewards penalised Frentzen for leaving the pit-lane under a red light in his haste to rejoin the race, while Bernoldi was thrown out for changing to the spare car after the race had started.
